Pakistan Meteorological Department (Project Implementation Unit - PIU) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible individual consultants for the selection of a Software Engineer under the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) / Modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD (MHSP). The assignment is funded under IDA-73330. Reference: PK-PMD-562886-CS-INDV.

| Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree (preferably Master’s) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Computational Science. |
| Minimum Experience | At least 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in software engineering, systems integration and digital solution development. Required experience includes software architecture and enterprise application development/integration; Linux systems, databases and server administration; cloud computing, virtualization and containerized environments; API development, middleware and interoperability; software implementation, systems integration, QA and user-acceptance testing; data governance, information security, backup, disaster recovery and business-continuity arrangements. Experience with meteorological, hydrological, environmental or mission-critical operational information systems is highly desirable. |
