Punjab Government Invites Applications for Vice Chancellors of Public Sector Medical Universities

The Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Government of the Punjab invites applications for the positions of Vice Chancellor at public sector medical universities including King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore, University of Health Sciences, Lahore, Faisalabad Medical University, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi Medical University, Rawalpindi. Appointment is for a non-extendable four-year term and the Vice Chancellor shall serve during the pleasure of the Chancellor.

Eligibility includes an MBBS degree (minimum second division) or equivalent postgraduate medical qualification (FCPS/MD/MS) or Ph.D. in basic medical sciences, at least ten years of experience in a medical institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, and a minimum of twenty publications in indexed medical journals recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. Candidates must be no older than 70 years on the last date of submission.
