Issuer: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives). The Bureau invites applications for the post of Chief Statistician, who will also serve as the Chief Executive Officer of PBS.

| Qualifications | Master’s or advanced university degree, preferably Ph.D. in Statistics or Economics; degree from an internationally recognized/in HEC-recognized university preferred. |
| Experience & Skills | Professional with demonstrated technical knowledge of statistics; national and international economic and management skills; minimum 20 years’ experience with at least 5 years in senior management; experience in managing large databases, national statistical surveys, compiling/analyzing National Income Accounts and economic statistics; leadership, research record on national/international social & economic issues; strong analytical and computer/statistical software skills. |
| Terms & Tenure | Term of appointment is five (05) years. Eligible for re‑appointment through a competitive process subject to satisfactory performance. Incumbent will cease to hold the post on completion of term or attainment of 65 years of age. |
| Age Limit | Maximum 60 years on the closing date of applications. |
| Salary | Special Professional Pay Scale‑II. |
