ECP Notice: Technology Movement of Pakistan — Hearing on Failure to Hold Intra-Party Elections (2026-07-08)

The Election Commission of Pakistan has notified the Technology Movement of Pakistan party for failing to hold its intra-party elections due on 2026-02-23 (last held 2021-02-23). The Commission had directed the party by letter Confd-2021(12)2 dated 2025-12-17 to conduct elections; a showcause notice was issued on 2026-03-16 but no reply or representative appeared at the hearing fixed for 2026-06-18.

By order dated 2026-06-18 the party is informed that a further hearing is scheduled at the Election Commission on 2026-07-08. The party must submit the relevant intra-party election documents to the ECP office as required under Sections 208 and 209 of the Elections Act, 2017; otherwise proceedings under Section 202(5) of the Elections Act, 2017 will be initiated.
