The plaintiff has instituted a suit for recovery of Rs. 245,787.38, together with costs of the suit and cost of funds, under Section 9 of the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, XLVI of 2001.
The defendant is summoned to appear before the court on 2 December 2026 at 8:30 a.m. and to apply for leave to defend the suit within 30 days from service of the summons. In default, the plaintiff will be entitled, after expiry of the 30-day period, to obtain a decree with costs and such mark-up or interest as the court may order.
The application for leave to defend must take the form of a written statement and contain a summary of the substantial questions of law and fact for which, in the defendant's opinion, evidence needs to be recorded, in accordance with Section 10 of the Ordinance.
