The plaintiff has instituted a suit for recovery of Rs. 489,352.58, together with costs of the suit and cost of funds, under Section 9 of the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001 (Ordinance No. XLVI of 2001).
The defendant is summoned to appear before the court on 2 December 2026 at 8:30 a.m. and apply for leave to defend the suit within 30 days of service of the summons. In default, the plaintiff will be entitled, after expiry of that period, to obtain a decree with costs and such markup or interest as the court may order.
The application for leave to defend must be in the form of a written statement and contain a summary of the substantial questions of law and fact for which evidence needs to be recorded, as contemplated by Section 10 of the Ordinance.
