Pakistan Railways – Contract Re-engagement of Retired Signal Staff (Sub Engineer BS-11)

Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office Lahore, invites applications for one-year contract re-engagement of retired Signal Department staff (Sub Engineer). Contracts are extendable for a further year based on performance and requirement.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Retired officials from the posts of Sub Engineer (BS-11) or Signal Inspector (BS-16) in Pakistan Railways. Candidates should be not older than 62 years and must have one of the following:

• Matric with relevant experience; or
• Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical / Electronics / Telecom (Board of Technical Education); or
• Matric or DAE in Electrical/Electronics/Telecom. DAE holders must have more than 3 years' experience in Railway Signaling projects.

Key Terms & Conditions

• Only candidates who have previously worked in the specified categories are eligible.
• Selected candidates will be paid according to their last drawn pay plus admissible allowances under contract rules; gratuity and pension benefits will not be available.
• Contract is initially one year and may be extended for a further year on satisfactory performance.
• The competent authority may reject applications or change the number of posts without assigning reasons.
• Selected candidates must pass a medical fitness examination at Pakistan Railways Hospital.
• Those dismissed from service or retired on medical grounds are not eligible.
• No TA/DA for interview or medical exam. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in the Railway system.

Application Submission

Typed applications with complete information must be submitted to the Chief Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways Headquarters Office, Empress Road, Lahore. A postal order of Rs. 1,000/- as processing fee for each application must be attached.
