Senior Registrar (BPS-18) Vacancies – Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore

Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore invites applications for regular posts of Senior Registrar (BPS-18) in multiple clinical specialties. Appointments will be made on a regular basis in accordance with institute rules and federal government regulations.

Key details:

Qualifications & experience:

- Basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC/PMC. OR M.Sc. in a recognized university for basic sciences (for non-medical graduates) where applicable.

- Postgraduate qualification: D.Sc., Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS, M.Phil or equivalent recognized qualification in the respective subject. MD with DPH for public health institutes where applicable.

- Experience: Five years teaching or practical experience before or after postgraduate qualification for holders of higher postgraduate qualifications (holders of FCPS etc.). Preference order: 1st teaching experience; 2nd practical experience after postgraduate qualification; 3rd practical experience before postgraduate qualification.

- Research credit will be given for original publications in standard medical journals.

General terms and application instructions:

- Appointments will be made on a regular basis following institute and federal government rules. Age relaxation will be allowed as per Federal Government rules. Reserved quotas for disabled persons, minorities, women and transgender applicants will be observed as per Federal Government policy.

- Candidates already in government service must apply through proper channel. Provincial/federal government employees with a minimum of 2 years regular continuous service are eligible for upper age relaxation up to 10 years (subject to a maximum age of 55 years).

- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be provided.
