National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites applications for the position of Senior Project Manager – Enterprise (VP) in its Information Technology division based in Karachi. The role is on a contractual basis to lead, plan and deliver IT projects aligned with bank objectives and regulatory requirements.

Educational Qualification Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent. A Master’s degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institution is acceptable. Relevant professional certifications preferred.
Experience Minimum 8 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years managing IT projects related to banking applications.
Key Skills & Knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time-management skills.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and data structures.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Main Duties / Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, execution and closure of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and Bank’s Project Management Framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
  • Prepare essential project documentation (WBS, organization charts, communication plans, risk and resource plans).
  • Monitor and track project progress, risks and issues; ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Supervise project status reporting, change management and stakeholder communication.
  • Implement risk management strategies and facilitate project governance.
Employment Type Contractual for three years (may be renewed at Management’s discretion). Selected candidates will receive compensation and benefits as per Bank rules.
Selection / Assessment Only shortlisted candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for panel interview(s). No TA/DA will be admissible.
