Edhi Foundation Appeal for Donations to Sustain Welfare Services and Purchase Ambulances

The Edhi Foundation, through Faisal Abdul Sattar Edhi, issues an urgent appeal for donations to continue humanitarian services across Pakistan — care and burial of unclaimed persons, feeding the hungry, patient care, emergency relief and free ambulance services.

A large number of ambulances are urgently required; the notice lists example vehicle costs of 22 lakh PKR, 45 lakh PKR, 32 lakh PKR and 30 lakh PKR. Donors are asked to give zakat, donations, sadaqah or sacrificial animals; obtain receipts and an envelope and sign the register. Besides rupees, contributions in dollars, pounds and dinars are accepted. Head office: Sarafa Bazaar, Mithadar, Karachi 74000. Website: www.edhi.org
