HEC — U.S.–Pakistan Knowledge Corridor PhD Scholarships for 2027 Admissions

Higher Education Commission (HEC) — Project Management Unit, U.S.–Pakistan Knowledge Corridor is offering fully / partially funded PhD scholarships for 2027 admissions to applicants holding or seeking admission at top QS-ranked U.S. universities. The scholarship is strictly for PhD programs (does not include Masters/MS leading to PhD). Applicants must submit scholarship applications online through HEC's scholarship portal.

General eligibility (summary):

• Pakistani / AJK nationals.
• Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree (BS / BSc / BE; 16 years of formal education).
• No second or third division in entire academic career (applies to Category I & II applicants).
• Maximum age: 40 years for regular government employees / regular faculty of public sector universities & government colleges / regular researchers of approved R&D organisations; 35 years in all other cases.
• Applicants must not be availing any other scholarship.

Important dates / intakes:

• Spring / Summer 2027 intake — application deadline: 2026-10-30
• Fall 2027 intake — application deadline: 2027-03-30

Notes: Preference will be given to applicants who already hold admission in preferred subject areas as listed on the HEC website. Applicants are encouraged to secure additional university funding to cover any differential expenses. Applications must be submitted through the HEC online scholarship portal.
