Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) invites applications for the position of Director General (Medical Services) on a contract basis to oversee, manage and lead medical, clinical and administrative operations of WAPDA hospitals and dispensaries nationwide.

| Experience | Minimum 20 years' service in Public, Private or Military hospital/institution including at least 5 years' medical administration experience. Candidates with 30+ years or experience as MS/DMS will be preferred. |

| Tenure | Initial appointment for 3 years on lump-sum basis with 6 months' probation; extendable subject to performance and organizational requirement |
| Pay Package | Rs. 525,000 per month (lump-sum, inclusive of all perks, privileges and facilities) |
Key competencies and responsibilities include leading nationwide medical services, setting long-term health policies, hospital operations management, clinical governance and quality standards, budgeting and resource allocation, compliance with regulatory authorities (Pakistan Medical Commission, Drug Regulatory Authority, Public Procurement Regulatory Authority), monitoring medical setup and staff performance, capacity building, and planning/responding to outbreaks, emergencies and health risks.
