Issuer: Higher Education, Archives & Libraries Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Civil Secretariat, Peshawar). Applications are invited for the post of Vice Chancellor for the University of Computing Sciences & Information Technology (UCIT), Swat.

Essential QualificationsPh.D. in the field of Computing Sciences and Information Technology.
Required Experience
  • At least 15 years teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university or postgraduate institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization.
  • At least 30 research papers in HEC/Commission-recognized journals with at least 10 as Principal Author.
  • At least 5 years administrative experience in the field of higher education.
  • Execution of at least one major research project (minimum value indicated as Rupees One Million) as Principal Investigator.
  • Experience of working with international bodies or international exposure through participation in workshops, seminars, or conferences at national and international levels.
  • Experience organizing events such as workshops, conferences, or seminars and demonstrated leadership.
  • Maximum age on last date for submission shall not exceed 62 years.
Desirable/OtherAcademic Search Committee may consider desirable experience, expected skills and competencies as provided in Part B & C of Schedule-II of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities Act, 2012.

Application Procedure & Selection
  • A Scrutiny Committee will first scrutinize applications.
  • An Academic Search Committee will shortlist eligible candidates on the basis of prescribed criteria and may call for interviews or head-hunt candidates as needed.
  • Decisions by the Academic Search Committee are final; applicants may be informed in writing about ineligibility and may appeal as per the communicated procedure.
