National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager Credit (OG-I) in the Risk Management area. The role reports to the Regional Executive / Credit Hub Head - Credit Approvals (Retail & Program Lending) and is based in Rawalpindi. Employment is contractual for three years (renewable at management discretion) with compensation and benefits as per bank policy.

Educational / Professional Qualification	Minimum Graduation or equivalent from an HEC-recognized university/college/institute. Candidates with a Master's degree and/or relevant certification(s) preferred.
Experience	Minimum 4 years of banking experience, including at least 2 years in Credit Processing and/or SME and/or Consumer and/or Agri and/or SBP schemes or product program-based lending in a commercial bank. Experience in large banks preferred.
Key Skills & Knowledge	Sound knowledge of Retail, SME and Agri financing Awareness of SBP prudential regulations Proficiency with MS Office Analytical and financial analysis skills
Main Duties / Responsibilities	Analyze and process credit proposals; ensure compliance with product program guidelines and risk acceptance criteria. Assess borrowers' financial health through horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements. Identify inconsistencies, gaps and risks in credit proposals and recommend financing structures in line with Bank policy. Prepare MIS and credit requests for onward submission; update status of pending issues with respect to credit requests. Ensure credit facilities are properly structured and compliant with internal and external regulations/policies. Review credit information (eCIB/private bureaus) and ensure borrower credit history is assessed per SBP prudential regulations. Evaluate collateral/security arrangements including valuations and legal opinions; monitor portfolio quality indicators and escalate warning signals. Coordinate with business, CAD and legal/compliance for resolution of pre and post disbursement discrepancies. Support timely reviews/renewals of existing credit facilities within stipulated turnaround times. Perform other assignments as directed by supervisors.
Assessment / Interview	Only shortlisted candidates strictly meeting eligibility criteria will be invited for test and/or panel interview(s). No TA/DA for test/interview.
Employment Type	Contractual for three years (may be renewed); compensation and benefits as per NBP rules.
