Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) — Project Implementation Unit (PIU) for the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) / Modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD invites Expressions of Interest (Individual Consultant Selection) for the post of Civil Engineer under Component‑II: Strengthening Hydromet and Climate Services. - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an HEC‑recognized university. - Master’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering or related field is an advantage. - Registration as a Professional Engineer with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) preferred. |
- Minimum 10 years of progressive professional experience in civil engineering design, planning, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, construction supervision, contract administration and quality assurance for public infrastructure projects. - Experience preparing engineers’ estimates, technical specifications, bidding documents and evaluation of civil works. - Familiarity with PEC standards, Building Codes of Pakistan, federal/provincial construction regulations, Public Procurement Rules and contract administration procedures. - Experience with FIDIC or similar international contract standards; prior work on World Bank/ADB/JICA/UN financed projects is an advantage. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and other engineering software; strong analytical, communication and report‑writing skills. |
