Issued by: Emergency Services Department, Government of the Punjab (Rescue 1122). Purpose: Mandatory fire and life-safety requirements for buildings to ensure occupant safety and reduce fire risk. | Floor Separators in Electrical Ducts | Separate by 4 mm metal sheet and use fire-resistant sealants around cables. |
| Fire Extinguishers | Use DCP-6Kg units near exits; maximum 75 ft spacing and at least one per 2,000 sq ft of floor area. |
| External Fire Hydrant | Red pillar-type hydrants at easily accessible points with two 2.5" outlets and instantaneous couplings. |
| Smoke & Flame Detection / IR Cameras | Install in all common areas and corridors with uninterrupted power and 24/7 surveillance by trained staff. |
| Fire Alarm System | Provide audible and visual appliances; manual pull stations or push-button call points near exits. |
| Internal Stand Pipe (Wet Riser) | Wet riser on each floor with 2.5" dia coupling and 1.5" hose with nozzle. |
| Automatic Sprinkler System | Required in all spaces containing combustible materials. |
| Fire Dampers in HVAC | Install fire dampers and use fire-retardant insulation for ducts. |
| First Aid Box & Fire Escape Masks | Provide a first aid box and two fire escape masks at each floor entrance, security posts, reception, or nursing stations. |
