Independent System & Market Operator of Pakistan (Guarantee) Limited (ISMO) invites applications for the position of Chief Internal Auditor on a contract basis. The role provides independent appraisal of accounting, financial, credit and operational activities, leads internal audit programs, coordinates with external auditors and the Audit Committee, and undertakes special audits and investigations as required.

| Key responsibilities | Evaluate accounting, financial, credit and other operational activities; review and appraise adequacy and application of accounting, financial and operational controls; formulate internal audit programs covering all financial transactions; develop an effective team; maintain liaison with external and commercial auditors; coordinate with the Audit Committee and Board on audits and investigations; evaluate design and effectiveness of compliance functions. |
| Minimum qualifications | Member of a recognized professional accounting body (qualifying CA/CPA/ACMA/ACCA/MBA Finance) from a reputed local or international university/institute. |
| Experience | Minimum 12 years of post-qualification relevant experience, including at least 5 years in senior management or executive-level roles; demonstrated expertise in auditing, risk management, internal control design, and ensuring financial reliability in public/private sectors with understanding of governance and risk controls—experience in SOEs or public-sector projects preferred. |
| Fit & Proper | Must meet Fit & Proper criteria as defined under Schedule-IV of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance & Operations) Act, 2023. |
