Pakistan Meteorological Department (Project Implementation Unit) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible individual consultants for the selection of a Software Engineer under the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) / Modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD in Pakistan (MHSP). This is an open competitive selection for a full-time contract to support strengthening hydromet and climate services.

| Minimum Qualifications | At least a Bachelor’s degree (preferably Master’s) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Computational Science. |
| Required Experience | At least 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in software engineering, systems integration and digital solution development. Demonstrated experience in software architecture/enterprise application development and integration; Linux OS, databases and server administration; cloud computing, virtualization and containerized environments; API development, middleware and enterprise interoperability; software implementation, systems integration, QA, technical testing or user-acceptance support. Familiarity with data governance, information security, backup, disaster recovery and business-continuity. Experience with scientific/meteorological/hydrological/mission-critical operational systems is highly desirable. |
