Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL) invites applications for the position of Chief Medical Officer on a contractual basis. Suitable candidates must meet the qualification, experience and age criteria listed below.

Position Chief Medical Officer (contract)
Issuer Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL), Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan
Qualifications MBBS from an HEC-recognized institute. MCPS in Family Medicine or equivalent foreign qualification or a higher qualification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is a plus.
Experience Minimum three (03) years' experience in healthcare administration in a corporate set-up, company or hospital as on the closing date of applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Attend PRCL head office for up to five (5) hours daily to scrutinize medical files and hospital bills.
  • Verify and countersign medical reimbursement claims of PRCL employees and their family members.
  • Provide consultations as per PRCL HR Manual, issue reference letters and other medical advice.
  • Conduct medical examinations for newly recruited employees.
  • Refer patients to panel hospitals/approved specialists and liaise with panel hospitals' authorities for best patient treatment.
  • Conduct random visits to employees or their families at panel hospitals where admitted.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Administration Department regarding medical facility management and help implement medical rules/policies.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the CEO or authorized officers of PRCL.
Terms & Conditions
  • Initial appointment for two years, extendable subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
  • Remuneration will be a fixed consultancy fee per month to be decided in the interview commensurate with experience.
  • Selected candidate will report to the Chief Administration Officer (CAO) or an authorized officer; role may require travelling within or outside Pakistan subject to CEO approval.
  • Age limit: maximum 50 years on the closing date of applications.
