Project Implementation Unit (PIU), Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible individual consultants for the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) (Component-II: Strengthening Hydromet and Climate Services / Modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD in Pakistan). The assignment covers selection of four (4) individual consultants for the International Panel of Experts (IPEs). Loan/Credit/Grant No.: IDA-73330.
EOIs must state the position being applied for and include a CV and cover letter. Consultants will be selected under Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Regulations for Borrowers (November 2020). | ICT / Software & Data Integration Expert | Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Computer Engineering, or related discipline | 15 years in software engineering and data integration, including real-time data acquisition, CDMS and WIS/2 platforms |
| HPC (High-Performance Computing) / Infrastructure Expert | Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Computational Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline | 10 years in planning, procuring and managing HPC infrastructure, with direct responsibility for comparable operational HPC systems; two comparable projects |
