Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives) invites applications for the post of Chief Statistician who will also serve as Chief Executive Officer of PBS.

| Qualifications | Master's or an advanced university degree, preferably Ph.D. in Statistics or Economics; a foreign degree recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. |
| Experience & Skills | Professional with demonstrated technical knowledge of statistics, national and international economic and management skills; minimum 20 years' relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior management position in organizations of significant size and importance; experience with national statistical surveys, national accounts, economic statistics, analysis, policy formulation, and advanced computer/statistical software. |
| Terms | Salary on Special Professional Pay Scale-II. Age: Maximum 60 years on closing date of applications. Term of appointment: five (05) years; eligible for re-appointment through a competitive process subject to satisfactory performance; incumbent will cease to hold post on completion of term or attaining age of sixty-five (65) years, as applicable. |
