The bank has instituted a recovery suit under the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001, for Rs. 193,240.25, representing the balance of principal and markup due.
The defendant is summoned to obtain leave from the court within 30 days of service of the summons to appear and defend the suit. In default, the plaintiff may obtain a decree after the expiry of that period for a sum not exceeding Rs. 193,240.25, together with costs of the suit.
An application for leave to appear must be supported by an affidavit or declaration showing a defence to the suit on its merits, or establishing that it is reasonable for the defendant to be allowed to appear. The defendant must comply with any terms imposed by the court.
The matter is fixed for 1 December 2026 at 9:00 a.m. before Banking Court No. I, Karachi, at Block No. 55, Pak Secretariat, near the Passport Office, Saddar, Karachi.
The summons was issued under the hand and seal of the court on 30 October 2026, by order of the Reader, Banking Court No. I, Karachi.
