Sindh High Court Notice to Faiz Muhammad in Customs Reference Application No. 263 of 2024

The High Court of Sindh at Karachi has issued a notice in Special Customs Reference Application No. 263 of 2024, filed by Director D.G. I&I (Customs), Karachi, against Faiz Muhammad and another. The notice is addressed to M/s. Faiz Muhammad, Haji Ghabi Road, Killi Shaidrah, Quetta.

The applicant has filed the reference application under Section 196 of the Customs Act, 1969, challenging the judgment dated 25 January 2024 passed by the Customs Appellate Tribunal, Bench-III, Karachi, in Customs Appeal No. K-1246/2023.

The reference application and associated applications were fixed for hearing on 28 September 2026, when the Court ordered service of notice through publication.

The respondent is required to appear before the High Court of Sindh at Karachi, either personally or through a duly instructed pleader, on 10 November 2026 at 8:15 a.m. to show cause why the reference and applications should not be admitted. In the event of non-appearance, the reference and applications will be heard, admitted and decided in the respondent's absence.

The notice was issued under the hand and seal of the Court on 24 October 2026, by order of Muhammad Jameel, Assistant Registrar, ITR Branch.
