Sindh High Court Karachi Notice to Ijaz Ahmed in Customs Reference Application No. 646 of 2024

The High Court of Sindh at Karachi has issued a publication notice in Special Customs Reference Application No. 646 of 2024, filed by Director, D.G. I&I (Customs), Karachi, against Ijaz Ahmed and another.

The notice is addressed to respondent Ijaz Ahmed, son of Shaista Khan, CNIC No. 54303-4202577-9, residing in Tehsil Harum Zai, District Pishin.

The applicant has filed the reference application under Section 196 of the Customs Act, 1969, challenging the order dated 14 May 2024 passed by the Customs Appellate Tribunal, Bench-II, Karachi, in Customs Appeal No. K-325/2026. The reference and associated applications were fixed for hearing on 1 October 2026, when the Court ordered service of notice through publication.

Ijaz Ahmed is required to appear before the High Court of Sindh at Karachi, personally or through a duly instructed pleader, on 16 November 2026 at 8:15 a.m. to show cause why the reference and applications should not be admitted. In the event of non-appearance, the reference and applications will be heard, admitted and decided in his absence.
