Banking Court Karachi Summons in HBL Recovery Suit No. 177 of 2026 Against Syed Salman Ali

Banking Court No. V, Karachi, before Judge Mr. Hatim Aziz Solangi, has issued summons in Suit No. 177 of 2026, Habib Bank Limited versus Syed Salman Ali, for recovery of Rs. 214,424.75 under Section 9 of the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance No. XLVI of 2001.

The defendant is summoned to appear before the court on 3 December 2026 at 8:30 a.m. and apply for leave to defend the suit within thirty days of service of the summons. In the event of default, the plaintiff may obtain a decree after expiry of the thirty-day period, together with costs and such markup or interest as the court may order.

The application for leave to defend must take the form of a written statement and contain a summary of the substantial questions of law and fact for which the defendant considers evidence necessary, in accordance with Section 10 of the ordinance.
