Tender: Establishment of Mountaineering Institute, Shigar — Government of Gilgit-Baltistan

Government of Gilgit-Baltistan (Tourism, Sports & Culture Department) through the Project Director invites bids from eligible firms/contractors for the Establishment of Mountaineering Institute at Shigar. Procurement will follow PPRA/GB-PPRA rules on Single Stage Two Envelope Procedure. Firms must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council for the year 2026-27 in Category C-2 & above with the required specialized codes.

Key instructions & eligibility

- Firms/contractors must be registered with PEC for 2026-27 in Category C-2 & above with applicable specialized codes as per Pakistan Engineering Council.

- Tender fee: Non-refundable Rs. 20,000 payable at the treasury office in favour of "GB Consolidated Fund Account CO3158" on any working day (exact procedure as per tender documents).

- Bid security: 25 million (as stated) must be submitted with the Technical Proposal in the form required (CDR from a scheduled bank of Pakistan is indicated).

- Bids to be submitted on Single Stage Two Envelope basis; technical bids will be evaluated per approved criteria. Joint ventures below C-2 are not allowed.

- Complete tender documents, bill of quantities and specifications can be obtained from the Office of the Project Director, Establishment of Mountaineering Institute, Shigar, on written application and upon deposit of the tender fee.

- Tender submission & opening will take place at the Project Director's office at the Mountaineering Institute, Shigar. The advertisement and documents are available on the GB-PPRA website.
