National Bank of Pakistan to Convert Selected Conventional Branches to Atemaad Islamic Banking

National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) — Atemaad Islamic Banking announces the conversion of a number of conventional branches to Islamic banking branches with State Bank of Pakistan approval. Intimation and consent letters have been dispatched to customers; follow the instructions in your letter to convert your existing conventional NBP account to an Islamic banking account. Current accounts will operate on a Qard basis and savings accounts on a Mudarabah basis under Shariah-approved terms.
