Public Notice — RAK Ceramics Trademark Protection & Counterfeit Warning (Pakistan)

Issuer: RAK Ceramics PJSC (Ras Al Khaimah, UAE). Purpose: Notice of registered trademarks and a court/tribunal restraint against unauthorised use, sale, import, distribution, or passing off of products bearing the trademarks "RAK", "RAK CERAMICS" and "RAK PORCELAIN" in Pakistan.

Key points:

• RAK Ceramics is the registered proprietor of the trademarks named above in Pakistan and has initiated legal proceedings before the Honorable Intellectual Property Tribunal, Punjab, Multan.
• The Tribunal has restrained the listed parties from using, importing, selling, distributing or otherwise dealing in any products or brands that infringe the RAK Ceramics trademarks or that are identical or deceptively similar to RAK products (including ceramics, sanitaryware or allied products).
• RAK Ceramics states it will take civil and criminal action against anyone who manufactures, sells, advertises, supplies, distributes or otherwise deals in counterfeit or infringing products, and will seek all available legal remedies.
• Warning: Any person dealing in counterfeit or infringing RAK-branded products may be liable for civil and criminal proceedings and RAK Ceramics reserves the right to initiate legal action.
