University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar has issued a Final Show Cause Notice to Dr. Tabassum Yasmeen, Lecturer, Department of Mechanical Engineering, for failing to resume duty after the expiry of Extraordinary Leave without pay granted wef 12.02.2024 to 11.02.2026 (Notification No.353/Est-PF dated 28.08.2024). She was earlier directed to resume duty vide letter No.1837/Estt-PF dated 22.04.2026 and served a prior show-cause vide No.2281/Est-PF dated 21.05.2026 but did not comply.
The notice directs Dr. Tabassum Yasmeen to report for duty within 15 days of issuance of this Final Show Cause Notice; failure to do so will invite disciplinary action under the University Statutes 2016, which may include removal/dismissal and recovery of expenditures incurred on studies abroad plus liquidated damages.
