Banking Court No.7 Karachi Notice: Habib Bank Recovery Suit under Financial Institutions Ordinance

Banking Court No.7, Karachi (Presiding: Dr. Hatem Aziz Solangi) has issued a summons in a recovery suit filed by Habib Bank under the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001, Section 9. The bank claims Rs. 24,311,323.71 plus markup, costs and litigation expenses from the named defendants residing in Bahria Town and Gadap Town, Karachi.

Defendants are directed to appear and file their written statement of defence (including summary of legal issues and facts intended to be relied upon) or otherwise respond as required by the Court; failure to contest the claim may lead to a decree in absence after the expiry of the prescribed period and recovery of costs and markup as ordered by the Court.
