National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites applications for the position of Unit Head – ADC Dispute Resolutions & Chargeback (AVP / VP) to be based in Karachi. The role focuses on dispute resolution, chargeback management and settlement processes across ATM, POS and e-commerce channels, and requires experienced banking professionals with strong technical, analytical and team leadership skills.

Reporting To	Wing Head – ADC Settlement
Minimum Qualifications	Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by HEC. Master's degree and/or relevant certifications preferred.
Experience	Minimum 8 years of banking experience in Service Quality and/or Complaints Management / Customer Disputes & Chargebacks, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Key Skills & Expertise	In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and compliance for electronic transactions / ADCs / reconciliation Familiarity with IT systems, reconciliation tools and transaction processing systems Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills Hands-on experience with banking software and card network portals (e.g., SDS, CDRS, MasterCard) Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects
Primary Responsibilities	Conduct end-to-end analysis of customer transaction disputes across ATM, POS and e-commerce channels Review transaction logs, switch data and core banking entries to identify timeouts or processing errors Authorize provisional credits to customers during investigations per network timelines Handle chargebacks using specialized card network portals and build evidence packages to defend against invalid claims Manage case files, ensure clear documentation of terms of service, invoices and device logs Identify and resolve settlement discrepancies between the Bank’s ledger and payment schemes Maintain compliance with internal SOPs and Central Bank regulatory timeframes Lead, mentor and develop the team; ensure reconciliation of transactions and resolution of discrepancies Prepare comprehensive reports on settlement activities, trends and issues; coordinate with branches, regions, member banks and SBP Address audit comments and implement corrective measures; drive continuous improvement in dispute resolution processes
Employment Type	Contractual basis for three years (renewable at management discretion). Compensation package as per Bank policy.
Assessment	Only shortlisted candidates strictly meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for panel interview(s).
