Manager – IT Compliance Management (AVP) | National Bank of Pakistan (Karachi)

National Bank of Pakistan invites applications for the position of Manager – IT Compliance Management (AVP) based in Karachi. The role reports to the Unit Head – IT Compliance Management and will lead IT compliance, audit coordination and regulatory obligations related to IT across the Bank.

Key skills & expertise required: strong knowledge of IT systems, information security, IT governance and risk management frameworks; understanding of regulatory environment and banking industry standards; ability to interpret regulatory directives and translate them into effective IT controls and compliance measures; stakeholder coordination across Risk, Compliance, Audit and Business Units; excellent written and verbal communication, documentation and presentation skills.

Main duties & responsibilities include:

- Lead and oversee the Bank’s IT Compliance Management function, ensuring adherence to policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- Coordinate and manage IT compliance activities related to internal audits, external audits and inspections by the State Bank of Pakistan and other authorities; prepare and submit regulatory responses and compliance documentation.

- Monitor, track and report status of IT audit observations, regulatory findings and remediation activities; ensure timely closure and escalation where necessary.

- Collaborate with Information Technology, Information Security, Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit and Business Units to facilitate effective compliance management, timely closure of audit and regulatory observations, and to maintain IT policies, procedures and governance frameworks.

- Prepare compliance dashboards, MIS, executive summaries and committee papers for senior management and governance forums.

- Facilitate regulatory inspections, compliance assessments and audit walkthroughs; identify emerging regulatory requirements, compliance gaps and recommend corrective or preventive process improvements.
