Public Notice: Unauthorized Use of the 'SAIF' / 'SAIF GROUP' Trademark — Saif Group

Issuer: Saif Group. Purpose: Public/legal notice asserting Saif Group as the sole legal and equitable proprietor of the trademark/trade name/house mark "SAIF" and/or "SAIF GROUP", and warning against any unauthorized use of the mark in relation to real estate, construction and other industries.

Saif Group states that the following companies form part of Saif Group:

Registered rights: Saif Group has registered these trademark rights with the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan and declares that no third party is permitted to use the marks "SAIF" or "SAIF GROUP" for the listed industries or in any manner that causes confusion or deception among consumers.

Legal action: A suit for Infringement, Passing Off, Unfair Competition & Damages has been filed (referenced in the notice) and the Learned Intellectual Property Tribunal, Rawalpindi has granted a stay order restraining the unauthorized users from using the SAIF/SAIF GROUP trademark. The Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench has also passed an appropriate order taking into consideration the client's goodwill and reputation.

Warning to public and trade: Regulators, trade authorities, customers, dealers, e-commerce platforms and trade channels are advised to exercise caution before dealing with services offered under the unauthorized mark which has no nexus/association with Saif Group. Saif Group reserves all legal rights and remedies, including injunctive relief, damages, rendition of accounts, delivery-up and other civil and criminal remedies available under law.
