Issuer: Thar Energy Limited (TEL) — 330 MW coal-based operational power plant at Thar, Sindh. Purpose: Procurement of insurance terms from international insurance companies through international brokers for specified lines of business.
Lines of Business:
- All Risks including Business Interruption and Machinery Breakdown
- Comprehensive General Liability Insurance
- Political Violence
Bidder Qualification Criteria (key requirements):
- International insurance brokers and/or their affiliates registered in Pakistan (evidence of affiliation and broking license are mandatory).
- 95% of sum insured must be placed with international reinsurers having Standard & Poor’s (S&P) or A.M. Best rating of 'A-' or better.
- Bidder shall have ranking among top ten by A.M. Best.
- Bidders are strictly not allowed to form any sort of consortium with any other broker.
- Compliance with all tender formalities and required documentation is mandatory for qualification.
