Pakistan Meteorological Department (Project Implementation Unit) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible individual consultants for the recruitment of a Software Engineer under the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) / Modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD in Pakistan (MHSP). World Bank financed. Reference: PK-PMD-562886-CS-INDV. Loan/Credit No.: IDA-73330.

Position	Software Engineer (Individual Consultant)
Project	Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) – Component II: Strengthening Hydromet and Climate Services / Modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD (MHSP)
Minimum Qualifications	At least a Bachelor's degree (preferably Master's) in one of: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computational Science.
Key Experience Requirements	At least 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in software engineering, systems integration and digital solution development. Demonstrated experience in software architecture / enterprise application development and integration. Experience with Linux operating systems, databases and server administration. Experience in cloud computing, virtualization and containerized environments. Experience in API development, middleware and enterprise interoperability. Experience in software implementation, systems integration, quality assurance, technical testing or user-acceptance support. Familiarity with data governance, information security, backup, disaster recovery and business-continuity arrangements. Experience with scientific, meteorological, hydrological, environmental or other mission-critical operational information systems is highly desirable. Strong technical documentation skills.
Employment Terms & Location	Contract, full-time basis — Project Implementation Unit (PIU) PMD, Saidpur, Islamabad.
Selection Method	Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (November 2020).
Documents Required	Letter of Expression of Interest (EOI) describing relevant qualifications, skills and professional experience. Detailed, dated and signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) highlighting similar assignments and references for possible checks.
