Issuer: Pakistan Meteorological Department (Project Implementation Unit) for the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) — Modernization of Hydromet Services of PMD (MHSP). The PIU invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible individual consultants for the position of Software Engineer under World Bank–financed IFRAP (Loan/Grant IDA-73330).

Position	Key Qualifications	Experience
Software Engineer (Individual Consultant)	Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in one of: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computational Science.	At least 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in software engineering, systems integration and digital solution development. Experience in software architecture/enterprise application development and integration; Linux OS, databases and server administration. Experience in cloud computing, virtualization, containerized environments, API development, middleware, enterprise interoperability. Experience in software implementation, systems integration, QA, technical testing or user-acceptance support for complex information systems. Familiarity with data governance, information security, backup, disaster recovery and business-continuity arrangements. Experience with scientific, meteorological, hydrological, environmental or other mission-critical operational information systems is highly desirable.

Employment terms: Consultant will be employed on contract, working full-time on a PIU PMD basis in Saidpur, Islamabad. Selection will follow the World Bank's Open Competitive Selection method for Individual Consultants (Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, November 2020).
