| Qualifications | Master's or advanced university degree; Ph.D. in Statistics or Economics preferred. Degree preferably from a leading international university recognized by HEC (Pakistan). |
| Experience & Skills | Minimum 20 years' professional experience with at least 5 years in senior management. Proven technical knowledge of statistics, national & international economic and management skills; experience managing large databases and national statistical surveys; leadership and research record on national/international social & economic issues; competence in computer-based data/statistical information and advanced software. |
| Term & Age | Term of appointment: 5 years (eligible for re-appointment subject to performance). Maximum age 60 years on closing date. |
| Salary | Special Professional Pay Scale-II |
