UET Peshawar Final Show Cause Notice to Engr. Farhad Ali for Scholarship Recovery

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar has issued a final show cause notice to Engr. Farhad Ali, son of Faqir Gul, requiring repayment of scholarship expenditure together with a 25% penalty within 15 days of issuance of the notice.

The notice is addressed to House No. 7, Street No. 8, Shah Colony, Canal Town, near Islamia College, Peshawar. His permanent address is Tor Ghar, Takht Bhai, District Mardan. The university email contact is [email protected].

Engr. Farhad Ali received a scholarship for PhD studies in Petroleum and Gas Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada, under the project “Jalozai Campus of UET Peshawar.” He began his PhD studies in January 2022 and subsequently discontinued them on medical grounds, requesting withdrawal of the scholarship. The university approved cancellation subject to recovery of its entire expenditure, together with a 25% penalty, under the deed of agreement executed between him and the university.

Through office letter No. 2363/Estt-I dated June 3, 2026, he was directed to deposit the outstanding recoverable amount within 15 days. Following failure to comply, a show cause notice, No. 3232/Estt-I/PF dated July 30, 2026, directed him to deposit the amount within 15 days of issuance.

The final notice again directs payment within 15 days of issuance. Failure to comply will result in strict disciplinary and legal proceedings against Engr. Farhad Ali and his guarantor or guarantors under the applicable UET rules and the terms and conditions of the deed of agreement, without further notice.
