District Health Officer Gilgit Tender for Medicines and Surgical Items 2026–27

The Government of Gilgit Baltistan, Office of the District Health Officer Gilgit, invites sealed tenders from reputable, experienced, licensed and registered firms, distributors, dealers, manufacturers, pharmacies and service providers for the supply of medicines and surgical items for the financial year 2026–27.

Pre-bid meeting: A meeting will be held on 16 November 2026 at 11:00 AM in the office of the District Health Officer, Gilgit. Only firms that have purchased the bidding documents may participate. Participants must present a copy of the treasury challan as proof of purchase at the meeting.

Bidding documents: Documents containing the specific terms and conditions may be obtained from the issuing office during duty hours upon written request and submission of a treasury challan for the tender document fee under the Finance Act/directives 2026–27. Tender copies will be issued only upon presentation of the treasury challan.

Eligibility and submission requirements: Only registered firms holding valid licences and registrations may participate. Quotations must be submitted on the firm's original letterhead, duly signed and stamped. Rates must be computerized and free from cutting, overwriting or erasing. Each bid must include bid security/CDR from a scheduled bank; offers without it will be rejected. Bidders must also submit an original, valid affidavit confirming that the firm or company is not blacklisted and has no litigation against it.

Tender conditions: Tenders received after the stipulated date and time will not be entertained. If the opening date falls on a public or local holiday, bids will be opened on the next working day at the same time and venue. The procuring agency reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in accordance with applicable procurement rules.

Successful bidder obligations: The successful bidder must furnish performance security in the form of a CDR equal to 10% of the annual estimated contract value within the prescribed period after issuance of the Letter of Acceptance. The successful bidder must also establish and maintain a medicine dispensing facility within Gilgit City or at an easily accessible point near the District Health Office premises.
