Public Notice — Unauthorized Use of ‘SAIF’ / ‘SAIF GROUP’ Trademark; Legal Action and Warning

Issuer: SAIF GROUP (represented by Ali & Associates, Attorneys at Law).

Purpose: Public warning regarding unauthorized use of the registered trademarks “SAIF” and “SAIF GROUP” and notification of legal proceedings and injunctions to protect the group’s trademark, goodwill and reputation.

• SAIF GROUP is the legal and equitable proprietor of the trademarks “SAIF” and “SAIF GROUP” and has duly registered these rights with the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan.
• Certain third parties have been found to be using the mark “SAIF” and/or “SAIF GROUP” without authorization, particularly in relation to real estate and construction activities, causing confusion among consumers and trade.
• Legal proceedings for trademark infringement, passing off and related claims have been initiated. The competent tribunal (Intellectual Property Tribunal, Rawalpindi) has granted orders restraining unauthorized parties from using the SAIF/SAIF GROUP mark.
• The Lahore High Court (Rawalpindi Bench) has also passed orders in favour of the client, taking into account the client’s claims to goodwill and reputation.
• The public, regulatory and trade authorities, customers, dealers, e-commerce platforms and trade channels are advised to exercise caution before dealing with any services or offerings presented under the unauthorised SAIF mark, which have no nexus or association with SAIF GROUP.
• SAIF GROUP reserves all legal rights and remedies available under law, including injunctive relief, damages, rendition of accounts, delivery up and other civil and criminal remedies.
